Before I go on babbling about myself, I’d like to take a moment to thank you, dear reader, for being an audience to my imagination. Without you, I’d just be an eccentric talking to myself on the internet.

My name is Astrid Lydia Johannsen, also known online as ellejohara, and I’m the mad genius behind Absolutely True Tales of Lesbian Drama. This comic is a story that I’ve been wanting to tell for a long time, and I’m so happy that I have the medium of the internet to get it out there and seen. It’s a labor of love, and I want to see it through to completion even if it takes ten years to finish telling this story.

With that in mind, dear reader, I want to ask of you one thing. I hope you do not think of me as an ass for asking this. I put a lot of work into this comic, and I’m publishing it on the web for you to enjoy completely for free. I have no advertising on my site, nor subscription fees, and I do not intend to include these things on the site ever. So what I ask of you, dear reader, is if you enjoy what I do here and you want to support it in some small way, then I humbly request a small gesture on your part: if you like what you see, then let me know.

There are numerous ways you can support me as an artist. You could blog about my comic and link back. You could write me an email and tell me what you think of my work so far. If you are artistically inclined, you could create fan art (whether it be visual or something else). And yes, you could tip the artist with a couple of coins from your purse.

I don’t want this to come off as a demand or expectation. I will continue to write and draw this comic whether or not I ever hear the slightest peep from my readers, and it will always be free for you to read. I just would like to know from my readers that they’re enjoying what I’m creating here.
