Winter 2007 OP Newsletter ©
20061208.1346 #illustration #professional
This was the first newsletter I ever worked on for the University of Oregon Outdoor Program. I was a fresh hire at the OP so I didn’t get to work on much in the way of graphics. (Landing the cover of the newsletter wasn’t bad though!)
I drew the snowboarder on paper, then scanned the drawing and colored in Adobe Illustrator. I separated out the major elements onto separate layers so that I could then import the design into Photoshop and apply layer effects to the image to give it texture and depth. The rest of the design was put together entirely in Photoshop and then placed as a PSD into an InDesign file.
I don’t have a PDF of the actual newsletter. I only retain the AI and PSD files for the cover. Looking back on this project, I wish I had used a better winter image of Mt. Hood. Oh well.
[Please note: This work is a not-for-profit piece for the University of Oregon Outdoor Program. So it's copyrighted. Don't mess with this work at all. Plzthx.]
